Our First Home!

Last month we finally finished cleaning and sorting through all of the junk in our back room. I can't believe it took us over five months to put our house together!
So here are some pictures...finally...

Well, the piano fits...but now there is no place for company to sit!

I just love it! I really do have the best husband ever!

Look at those beautiful dressers my dad build, with the help of Wyatt.

They are just so great...I love them! Thanks Dad, you're the best!

My dad also build me my vanity. I just had nowhere to get ready or keep my stuff, and this is perfect!
And there is the tour of our little apartment. It's not too big, but it's perfect for us!

Halloween is coming...

So Halloween is coming and I am just so excited! I really do love Halloween. It's such a fun holiday. We actually went out yesterday and bought our first fall decorations, and I was just so excited. We didn't buy a lot, but just a few things to start our holiday decoration collection!
I have also been brainstorming some fun  couple costumes that we could dress up as. Also, we will be taking any suggestions.

My first idea is the farmer and his wife

Wyatt would be the farmer carrying around a pitchfork and I the wife
(of course).  Then we would hold a frame. That's right. We are the picture, not the people! This idea I got from a couple in my freshmen ward. I thought it was so cute! The rest of my costume ideas I had to do a little research, but I came up with the following:

The 50s Couple

An Ancient Egyptian Couple
How could I resist? I've always wanted to be an Egyptian...

A Prehistoric Pair
We cave people, ugh!

An Animated Pair
Popeye and Olive Oyl...So fun! And Wyatt wouldn't even have to put on the fake muscles...they're all real! ;)

The Well Known German Couple
Hansel and Grettle...so young and innocent

The Pirate Maiden and First Mate
ARG!

The Matrix
Neo and Trinity...We are just that cool

Just this morning we also came up with the idea of Frankenstein's monster and the bride of Frankenstein. I could even wear my wedding dress (ya right!) But we are still deciding. I just hope that we have the chance to dress up!

Jim Gaffigan!!!

About a month ago I gave Wyatt the best present EVER!!! I bought him tickets to go to see Jim Gaffigan, his favorite comedian. Am I the best wife ever or what?!? He will be in Salt Lake next Friday and we are going to see him! I am just so excited I can't even hold it in.
I decided I wanted to surprise Wyatt with the tickets as a present. The tricky part of this whole thing was hiding the tickets from him. They came in the mail and he always gets the mail and if he would have seen them, well, that would have spoiled the whole surprise! But not to worry...I had a plan. All of our mail goes to his parents house (we live in their basement apartment) and so I got in cohorts with his mom so that she would look out for the tickets and hide them until I could get them without Wyatt noticing. It was perfect. That weekend we went on a getaway to Salt Lake. That weekend was so nice. We went and ate at the Melting Pot (sooo good!), played around Downtown, went all over Temple Square, and went to a Bee's game. But the best part of the weekend was seeing his face when he got the tickets!
That was the same weekend as my birthday...which is when my handsome husband bought me a piano!!! A real one! I know what you are thinking now...where do you put a piano in a small basement apartment? Well i found a place. I may have to post pictures of it later. Now we only have one place to sit in our living room, two if you count the piano bench. But we don't have too many visitors, still being newlyweds, so it's just perfect! And I just love it!
I really do have the best husband ever!

The First Post!

Here it is...our first post! I finally gave in and started a blog to keep friends and family undated on our crazy lives!
We were just married on May first and have just been busy with life working and going to school. Our honeymoon was spent on a cruise to the Caribbean. It was so amazing! We were able to go snorkeling at the Barrier Reef and we also got to see some Mayan ruins (that was mostly because I'm a nerd and love that kind of thing!
Here we are just about to go snorkeling!

They Mayan ruins at Altun Ha in Belize...So Great!
Loved it!

We had such a great time! I am trying to talk Wyatt in taking me on another cruise...We'll see how that goes. Since then, Wyatt has been working hard at school and just got into the Information Systems program at BYU. It is so exciting, but it is going to be a lot of work. Since school has started a week ago he has been so busy with homework that I'm a little jealous! I just want all of his attention! But what can I say? We're newlyweds!
I spend most of my time at work. I currently work at Stores Online in the programming department. Yes, that's right...I'm the breadwinner! And FYI, Wyatt hates that! But in the not too distand future her will be bringing home the bacon for his wifey!
